Frequently Asked Questions

Which forklift trucks do you cover?

We train operators on the most common industrial forklift types used in warehouses and yards, including counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, narrow aisle (VNA) trucks, and pallet stackers. We help you choose the right category based on the job you’re aiming for and the equipment you’ll actually be using.

Do you offer RTITB forklift training?

Yes. We provide RTITB-accredited forklift training where applicable, delivered by experienced instructors who focus on safe operation, correct technique, and confident handling rather than rushed “certificate-only” outcomes.

Do you provide IPAF lift training?

Yes. We deliver IPAF training for powered access equipment, including scissor lifts (IPAF 3a) and cherry pickers/boom lifts (IPAF 3b). Training includes the essential theory, safe operating practice, and the required assessment process to help you operate responsibly at height.

Are weekend and evening courses available?

Yes. We operate seven days a week and aim to be flexible so training can fit around work and personal commitments. If you need an evening or weekend slot, contact us and we’ll propose the closest available option.

Do you teach in multiple languages?

Yes. Our instructors are commonly able to support learners in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Polish, and Romanian, helping trainees understand safety rules clearly and build confidence without language becoming a barrier.

What training is best for beginners?

If you’re new, we’ll guide you toward the correct course category and training level based on your goals, the job role you want, and where you expect to work. Our approach is patient and step-by-step, so beginners can learn safely, build solid habits, and develop real control before being assessed.

Can experienced operators take a short course?

Yes. If you already have experience, we can recommend an experienced or refresher option that focuses on safe working practice, correct technique, and meeting assessment standards without repeating what you already know unnecessarily.

Do you offer counterbalance forklift training in Southall?

Yes. Counterbalance forklift training is one of our most requested options because it’s widely used across warehouses, yards, and industrial sites. We cover safe loading and stacking, stability awareness, proper checks, and confident manoeuvring so you’re ready for real work environments.

How long is counterbalance forklift training?

Course length depends on your experience and how quickly you demonstrate safe control. New operator counterbalance training is typically around three days, while refresher training is commonly one to two days, with the focus always on competence and safety rather than rushing.

Do you provide reach truck training for warehouses?

Yes. We provide reach truck training for warehouse environments where precision handling and racking work are essential. We focus on safe, controlled operation, correct load handling, and confident manoeuvring in tighter indoor spaces.

What is VNA forklift training used for?

Narrow aisle (VNA) training is designed for very tight warehouse aisles and specialised equipment where precision, awareness, and correct procedure are critical. We train operators to work safely in confined spaces while maintaining control, visibility, and strong load-handling discipline.

Is pallet stacker training suitable for new starters?

Yes. Pallet stackers are common in busy warehouses and back-of-house areas, and safe operation is essential even though the equipment can look simple. We train you to operate smoothly, steer safely, handle loads correctly, and work responsibly around pedestrians and obstacles.

Do you offer telescopic handler training?

Yes. We provide telescopic handler (telehandler) training for operators working on construction, industrial, or yard environments where reach and lifting capability are needed. We focus on safe handling, stability awareness, and practical operation that reflects real site conditions.

Do you provide dumper training for construction sites?

Yes. Dumper training is available for both novice and experienced operators, with a strong emphasis on safe travel, terrain awareness, and correct tipping and loading practices so operators can work responsibly on active sites.

How long is dumper training?

Dumper training length depends on your experience level. Novice dumper training is typically around three days, while experienced operators often complete refresher training in around one day, with time always guided by safe performance and assessment readiness.

Do you offer excavator (digger) training?

Yes. We provide excavator training for different machine sizes, focused on safe operation, correct control use, and practical digging and handling techniques. The goal is to build confident operators who understand hazards, safe positioning, and responsible site behaviour.

Where a driving licence requirement applies to a specific category of machine, we’ll confirm this with you before booking.

Do you provide static concrete pump training?

Yes. Static concrete pump training is available for operators working with stationary or trailer pump setups. We focus on safe setup, correct pumping practice, hazard awareness, and working responsibly around site teams and delivery operations.

What PPE should I bring to training?

We recommend arriving ready for practical training with appropriate PPE so you can train safely and comfortably. For IPAF courses in particular, basic PPE such as safety boots and a high-visibility vest is typically required, and we’ll confirm any additional site-specific requirements at the time of booking.

Do I need a driving licence?

Some equipment categories and job roles may require a suitable driving licence, especially for certain truck-mounted machinery types. If you tell us which course you’re booking and your work goals, we’ll clearly confirm any licence requirements before you start.

What age do I need to be?

You must meet the minimum legal working age and be fit to safely operate workplace equipment. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible for a particular course, contact us and we’ll advise you based on the equipment category and your situation.

Do you help with course selection?

Yes. Many people aren’t sure whether they need counterbalance, reach, VNA, telehandler, IPAF, or plant training, especially when job ads use different wording. We’ll ask a few practical questions about the role you want and the environment you’ll work in, then recommend the most suitable course route.

Can I book training at short notice?

Often, yes. Availability depends on the course type, instructor schedules, and whether you’re training at our Southall facility or on your site. If you need urgent training, call us and we’ll offer the earliest realistic option without compromising training quality.

Do you offer 1-to-1 training?

Yes, where suitable. One-to-one training can be helpful when you want focused coaching, faster confidence-building, or tailored support for specific tasks. We’ll recommend the best format based on the equipment category and your experience level.

Yes. We regularly support businesses that need multiple operators trained or refreshed. We can plan training around operational requirements, reduce downtime through structured scheduling, and deliver a consistent safety standard across your team.

Can you create custom training packages?

Yes. If you need a combination of courses for different roles, or want an efficient plan for multiple staff members, we can create a tailored package. This is especially useful for warehouse teams, construction sites, and logistics businesses looking for reliable, repeatable training support.

What makes your training different?

We focus on genuine competence and safe habits, not shortcuts. Our instructors are experienced, patient, and clear, and we take the time to ensure every learner understands how to operate safely, handle loads correctly, and stay aware of hazards in real working environments.

Will I do both theory and practical?

Yes. Operator training is designed to ensure you understand safety rules and can apply them during practical operation. The balance depends on the course, but we always aim to build real-world capability, not just help you “get through the day.”

How are trainees assessed?

Assessment is based on your safe performance and your understanding of operating rules and workplace responsibility. Where required, this includes a theory element and a practical test so that certification reflects real competence.

What if I don’t pass first time?

If someone doesn’t meet the required standard on the first attempt, we focus on what needs improvement and the safest way to build competency. Our priority is that operators leave training able to work responsibly, and we’ll explain the next steps clearly based on the situation.

Do you provide certificates and operator cards?

Yes. After successful completion, we issue certification for the equipment category you trained on, aligned with the relevant scheme such as RTITB for forklift training, IPAF for powered access, NPORS for plant training, and ALLMI for lorry loader training where applicable.

Forklift certification is commonly valid for three years, after which refresher training is recommended to maintain safe standards and meet workplace expectations. If your certificate is near expiry, we can advise on the best refresher route.

Can you replace a lost certificate?

Yes. If you trained with us and need help with replacement documentation, contact us with your details and we’ll advise the correct process based on the course and certification type.
